🔶 Mertes: The Iran war has no military solution and must be ended through diplomacy.
German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz, in response to speculations about the possibility of new US attacks on Iran, called for a diplomatic solution to this war and emphasized that the continuation of military operations cannot bring an end to this crisis.
According to the AFP news agency, Mertes said at a press conference in Seoul, South Korea's capital on Friday, October 30: "I can only ask all parties involved to be aware that this conflict cannot be resolved by military means and must be resolved through diplomacy and negotiation."
The Chancellor of Germany emphasized that this request includes the prisoners of Israel and the future government of this country.
Mertes also said that the German government is trying to coordinate and strengthen its diplomatic activities from different directions so that the war ends as soon as possible.
According to him, Germany has good relations with the prisoners of Israel and the countries of the Persian Gulf and uses these relations to try to solve the crisis peacefully.
