🔶 Do the Arab parties determine the political fate of Israeli prisoners?
In the parliamentary elections held in Israel, coalitions of Arab parties achieved a historic achievement and won 19 seats out of a total of 120 seats in the parliament. In this way, their number of seats has almost doubled compared to the 2022 parliamentary elections.
The ruling coalition led by the Likud party and Benjamin Netanyahu, the exiled Prime Minister of Israel, failed to obtain an absolute majority, i.e. 61 seats in the parliament. In the same way, the opposition camp could not get this majority.
In such a situation, Arab parties will become a decisive factor in the process of forming the government.
But who are these parties and what are their positions and goals? The Arab parties in question include two groups: the first, the "Ream" party headed by Mansour Abbas, and second, the "Had" parties, "T'al" and "Beld" parties, which united with each other in the format of a joint electoral list. Yusuf Jabarin is the head of this joint list.
