🔶 Reports of an explosion and fire in the body of an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.

The British Maritime Trade Task Force (UKMT) announced on October 30 that it had received a report of incidents occurring 25 nautical miles northeast of Hassab, Oman, in the Strait of Hormuz.

An informed source reported to this organization that an oil tanker caught fire while leaving the strait. According to another officially confirmed report, the British Naval Operation Organization said that the ship's crew was safe and that the incident had no environmental consequences.

From this report it appears that a small boat approached the tanker from the left side and attached two explosive charges to its body, above the surface of the water. The subsequent explosions caused a fire in the engine room and temporarily disabled the tanker. While the fire has been extinguished and the tanker is on its way to its next port, the British Maritime Operations Organization has advised ships to proceed with caution while authorities investigate the incident and to report any suspicious activity to the organization.

On Thursday, October 29, the British Maritime Trade Operation Organization announced that it had received a report of a fire on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz.

At the same time, the public relations of the Revolutionary Guards Navy announced the explosion of 3 oil tankers.

In its announcement, the Revolutionary Guards claimed that these oil tankers "exploded and caught fire while passing through the unauthorized southern passage of the Strait of Hormuz after hitting a mine and being abandoned on the southern shore of the Strait of Hormuz." According to the Revolutionary Guards' claim, these tankers turned off their radar and navigation systems and "despite the warnings of the Revolutionary Guards Navy, they tried to leave the unauthorized southern lane of the Strait of Hormuz, when they were hit by a naval mine and exploded."
