🔶 Qatar called the accusation of meddling in the captives' elections "ridiculous and dangerous".
Majed Alansari, spokesman for Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, rejected on Thursday, October 29, the accusation of Doha's interference in the elections for the Israeli prisoners and saw it as an attempt to drag Qatar into the internal political disputes of the Israeli prisoners.
He wrote in X: "We categorically deny Qatar's accusation of interfering in Israel's captive elections or of financing any activity to influence its results."
Al-Ansari, referring to the accusation of buying infiltration from Netanyahu, the leftist current and now the Arab voters, said: "If we believe these claims, Qatar should probably own all the Israeli prisoners."
He called the allegations "ridiculous and equally dangerous."
At the same time, Dean Lyon, the executive director of the Central Prisoners' Election Commission, called the claims of widespread fraud "baseless" and said, as far as he knows, there is no evidence of organized abuse.
