🔶 The Syrian court sentenced a member of a militia group affiliated with Iran to life imprisonment.

According to the Syrian State News Agency (SANA), a court in this country sentenced a man affiliated with the militia group of the Jerusalem Brigade, linked to the Salami Republic, to life imprisonment after finding him to be a member of an armed militant group accused of participating in war crimes and crimes against humanity.

According to this report, Abdul Jabbar Ghazi Ariziq was found guilty of being a member of an armed militant group affiliated with the Jerusalem Brigade, a militia group associated with Iran's Revolutionary Guards.

According to the court's ruling, this group sought to provoke civil war and sectarian conflicts and occupy cities.

The court classified these actions as war crimes and crimes against humanity based on the relevant provisions of the law, because in the court's opinion these actions were related to "organized and widespread crimes committed during the Assad regime".
