🔶 Joint call for the release of political prisoners in Iran.
The Iranian Human Rights Organization and the monitoring group of the Oslo Document asked opposition parties and political currents, civil and human rights institutions, social activists and citizens to work for their release by publishing the names and photos of political and ideological prisoners and holding peaceful gatherings on the occasion of the October 30 International Day of Political Prisoners.
In this call, the immediate and unconditional release of all political and ideological prisoners, the halting of executions and the end of torture, forced disappearances and the use of prison as a tool of oppression are emphasized.
The signatories demand that governments and international institutions make the release of political and ideological prisoners and the halting of executions a priority in their interactions with the Republic of Salami.
Mahmoud Amiri Makdam, director of the Human Rights Organization of Iran, said that the protection of human rights should not depend on people's political orientation, identity or geography. He demands that the political and civil currents and the citizens publish the names and pictures of the prisoners, to make their release a broad and shared content.
