🔶 China asked Germany and the European Union to resolve trade disputes by agreement.

In response to German Chancellor Friedrich March's proposal to expand mutual access to markets in Europe and Asia, China asked Berlin and the European Union to remain "realistic and reasonable" and resolve disputes through dialogue.

Guo Jiakun, a spokesman for China's Foreign Ministry, said on Wednesday, October 28, that Beijing is committed to cooperation with all parties to maintain the stability and security of global production and supply chains.

While opposing a complete end to economic relations with China, Mertes said that Europe and Asia must reduce "unhealthy and unilateral dependence". His proposal to expand access to markets was proposed in order to deal with trade restrictions.
