Storm "Mania" hit parts of Germany on Sunday, October 25; Thousands of homes in Freiburg remained without electricity, the city's university hospital restricted entry to emergency patients, and sea and train travel was affected in various parts of the country.

At the same time, the authorities warned of rising water on the North Sea coast.

The German Meteorological Organization issued a strong wind warning for large areas in the north, center, west and southwest of the country. Firefighters were also dispatched numerous times to deal with falling trees, breaking branches and other effects of the storm.

According to the forecasts, wind strength will gradually decrease from Sunday night to Monday morning.
