Opposition leader Maria Machado returned to Venezuela.
Maria Corina Machado, leader of the opposition in Venezuela and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, announced her return after about ten months of secretly leaving the country.
"I'm here, by your side," he wrote on the X social network.
Edmundo Gonzalez, an opposition politician, also announced that Machado was in Venezuela and called this return "a very important day."
This development comes several weeks after the controversial US oil deal in Venezuela. Since the arrest of Nicolás Maduro by US forces in January, his former deputy, Delsey Rodriguez, has been running the country. Donald Trump has repeatedly praised working with him.
