🎥 roads in ambush for wild animals; The death of a brown bear in Fars.
A brown bear died on Saturday, October 24, due to a collision with a car near the village of Qawamabad, Pasargad city, Fars province. Several residents tried to transfer this animal to the Department of Environmental Protection.
The Environmental Protection Department of Pasargad announced that this incident happened on the Saadshathar to Shiraz route. According to this department, the entry of brown bears into gardens and fields to find food increases the possibility that they will encounter cars and agricultural machinery. Road accidents pose serious threats to Iran's wildlife. An expert from the Office of Wildlife Protection and Management of the Environmental Protection Organization said that about 50% of carnivore deaths in protected areas are caused by road accidents. Animals are exposed to collisions with cars when they leave the habitat and cross the roads.
