🔶 Deputy Minister of Communications: The national information network also needs international internet.
Mohammad Mohsen Sadr, deputy minister of communications and head of Iran's Information Technology Organization, said on Sunday, October 25, that the national information network alone does not meet the country's needs and it also needs international Internet.
The Deputy Minister of Communications emphasized that the development of this network does not mean "negating the Internet" and said: "The Internet is one of the needs that different parts of society definitely need."
He also announced that the number of security warnings to executive bodies has increased from about 10,000 at the beginning of the 14th government to 61,000.
The Deputy Minister of Communications attributed this increase to the expansion of monitoring and better identification of threats.
He also announced the increase in cyber attacks on various ports in the country in the last two or three days and said that a significant portion of them had been repelled. From the statements of the Deputy Minister of Communications it appears that cutting people off from the global internet, even with the existence of the national information network, cannot guarantee the continuation of the home services they need.
