the opposition crisis; Why didn't dissatisfaction with the government become a coherent political alternative?

Reporting by Alina Farhadi

The heavy consequences of the war and the regional conflicts, the complications and destruction caused by it on the body of Iran and the continuation of the acute livelihood crises, the unprecedented inflation and the economic blockade in recent months have placed Iranian society in one of its most dangerous historical periods.

In the meantime, although the surrounding developments, together with the deepening of the gap between the government and large parts of society after the protest uprisings in recent years, have once again placed the issue of Iran's political future at the forefront of analytical discussions, experts and observers on Iranian affairs, but they raise different opinions regarding the success rate and their ability to manage stable oppositional currents and various critical conditions.

According to a group of analysts, although the protest movements played a role in delegitimizing Saidmani's rule, they were not significantly successful in changing the balance of power and the calculations of the governing structure. In finding the root of this problem, experts proposed two main assumptions: some see the strength and coherence of the government's security and military repression network as the main obstacle to the formation of independent and stable organizations within the state; While another group attacks the structural weaknesses and ideological differences in the body of the opposing political currents.

Examining the internal dimensions of the opposition, media evidence indicates the existence of deep divisions between different factions, including monarchists, republicans, leftist forces and ethnic parties. One of the dimensions that analysts pay attention to is the highly polarized atmosphere in social networks. According to the assessment of some sociologists and civil activists, the prevalence of waves of accusations, mutual destruction and verbal aggression among fans of different currents in cyberspace, reflects the lack of agreement on principles such as pluralism and tolerance for the opposition; According to observers, this had a concrete negative effect on the confidence and motivation of the gray body of the company.
