🔶 Iran planned a ground attack on submarine cables of the Persian Gulf.

The Reuters news agency reported on Friday, October 23 (November 1), citing two senior Iranian security officials, that the Islamic Republic plans to target Internet communication cables under the waters of the Persian Gulf in the event of a ground attack by the United States and Israel and the expansion of the war.

In the past, some Iranian officials have warned that if diplomacy with Washington fails and clashes resume, submarine cables in the region could become military targets.

Two security officials, who were not named by Reuters, provided few details and did not explain how or where exactly such attacks were carried out. One of them says that Iran will try to prevent the repair operation after each ground attack so that the communication disruption will last longer. The Reuters news agency quoted a security source as saying: "If there is a ground attack on Iran, there will no longer be a red line; from submarine cables to military bases, even secret bases."
