🔶 The record of attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz was broken in October.

According to data from the "Washington Institute for Near East Studies", most of the attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz since the beginning of the war were carried out in October. On Saturday, October 24, this institute reported at least 28 confirmed ground attacks on ships in October. In this way, the number of reported attacks reached 113 since the beginning of the war in February.

This figure is largely in line with the data of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which recorded 120 incidents since the beginning of the war. According to the calculations of this organization, during the war, 3.5% of the world's tanker fleet was targeted by a ground attack. The number of tankers in this fleet in the world is more than 900.

The UK Maritime Operations Center (UKMTO) also announced that as of October 16, 135 incidents had been reported and that all attacks may not be recorded in published statistics.
