Reuters: Saudi Arabia is developing ballistic missile production facilities.
According to Reuters, satellite images show Saudi Arabia may be expanding a ballistic missile factory to produce larger solid-fuel missiles; Missiles capable of carrying heavier payloads or achieving greater range.
This estimate is based on a review of more than one year of commercial satellite imagery by two American researchers.
Producing more advanced missiles could increase Saudi Arabia's ability to deter possible attacks from the Islamic Republic and reduce Riyadh's military dependence on other countries.
It may also strengthen this country's military position in the conflict with the Houthis in Yemen, who are supported by Tehran.
