🔶 Donald Trump: The Starshield system was restarted in Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine's access to the Starshield military satellite communications system had been restored. Restrictions imposed on satellite communications services used by the Ukrainian military since mid-October 2026 have disrupted the country's drone missions and affected the ability of Ukrainian forces to target drones and counter Russian attacks.
On Thursday, October 22, Trump said he did not want to comment on the Wall Street Journal report that he had reached out to Elon Musk to lift communications restrictions in Ukraine, but added: "I don't want to say I called him or anybody else; it doesn't matter. "The important thing is that he returned the services."
Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, said on October 22 that the speed of satellite communication has not yet returned to the level before the restrictions were imposed and explained: "The speed has not reached 400 km/h. "We are working on this issue and I am waiting for Marco Rubio, the US Secretary of State, to provide me with the information he promised within 48 hours."
Donald Trump reportedly called Elon Musk on October 21 and asked him to lift restrictions on satellite communications services used by the Ukrainian military.
