Tommy Pigott, the spokesman for the US State Department, denied the existence of a joint plan between Washington and Ankara regarding Lebanon and said that he does not support any proposal to change the political structure of this country based on the Taif Agreement.

Figo said that America is still committed to cooperation with Lebanon and the captives of Israel in the tripartite framework to end the cycle of conflict through the implementation of its main axes.

He presented the disarmament of Hezbollah, the establishment of long-term security for Lebanon and the captives of Israel, and the establishment of peaceful relations between the two countries as the three axes of this framework. In this statement, Pigott described Hezbollah as a "proxy assassination group of Iran".

According to the spokesperson of the US State Department, the relationship between the two countries should be based on mutual respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity. He added, Washington welcomes the cooperation of international partners to achieve these goals. In a statement, Pigott did not provide a timeline or details on how the framework will be implemented.
