The European Parliament asked the European Union to declare the Houthis an assassination group.
Members of the European Parliament strongly condemned the Houthis' unprecedented missile and drone attacks against Saudi Arabia and their military offensive in Yemen.
In resolutions adopted on Thursday, October 22, representatives of the European Parliament described these attacks as a clear violation of international humanitarian law and emphasized that a large number of Yemeni citizens had been killed and displaced, and that the humanitarian crisis in this country had worsened.
The European Parliament also condemned the Houthis' missile and drone attacks against Israeli and United Arab Emirates prisoners in recent years and emphasized its commitment to the security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Saudi Arabia and Yemen and called on the Houthis to "immediately stop all hostile actions, both inside and outside of Yemen, and aim to give up." In another part of this statement, the European Parliament also announced that it "strongly condemns the destabilizing role of the Iranian regime".
