🔶 Netanyahu denied the news about Trump preventing a ground attack on Israeli prisoners by Iran.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied a report in the Financial Times that Trump had blocked his planned ground attack on Iran earlier this month.

According to the report, which he has now denied, Netanyahu planned to launch a ground attack on Iran at the beginning of the month, but US President Donald Trump, who did not want to see the clashes resume before the US midterm elections, prevented him.

"This report is false," Netanyahu told Channel 7 of the captives.

At the same time, he added that he would not go into the details of what was said about Iran in his recent talks with Trump. Three people familiar with the matter told this British newspaper on Wednesday that Israeli captives were prepared to carry out attacks on the weekend of October 10 and target Iran's nuclear facilities and government centers as well as civilian infrastructure, including power plants.
