🔶 Hamas threat: wait for another October 7.

In an unprecedented move, Hamas officials sent a direct warning to Israeli POWs that they were preparing another ground attack, like the ground attack on October 7, targeting Israeli POWs, the West Bank and areas outside of Israeli POWs.

This message last week from senior members of the Hamas organization to the humanitarian coordinator of the United Nations; Ramez al-Akhbarov was given during his visit to Gaza and he was asked to hand it over to the Israeli prisoners.

Hamas officials told Al-Akhbarov that the military operation of the Israeli prisoners in Gaza and the transfer of the "yellow line" (the border defining the positions of the Israeli captive forces in Gaza) as well as the cancellation of the elections by the Palestinian Self-Defense Forces organization caused this group to gradually lose control of the territory. They stated that they are not ready to accept the continuation of this situation. On Wednesday, October 21, Al-Akhbarov met with Major Yoram Halabi, the coordinator of the government's activities in the Palestinian territories, and conveyed to him the message of the leaders of Hamas.

POW officials described the message as an unusual threat that was unprecedented in its bluntness and bluntness. The documents of this announcement were immediately delivered to the political and security authorities of the Israeli prisoners.

This threatening message was sent in a situation where Israel increased the pressure on Hamas in a series of military operations and killed a number of members and senior military leaders of this group.
