🔶 Putin agreed to renew the tripartite negotiations on Ukraine.

On Wednesday, October 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his agreement in principle with the resumption of direct tripartite negotiations between Moscow, Washington and Kiev next month. This agreement could be the first round of these talks since February.

The decision came after Putin met with US envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg. Yuri Ushkov, the Kremlin's foreign affairs adviser, announced that these negotiations will focus on creating a security system for Russia and Ukraine after the end of the war.

Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, has always insisted that negotiations and meetings should be held in a tripartite manner in order to break the impasse.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump put a lot of pressure on Zelensky in the White House to reach an agreement with Russia and stated that failure to reach an agreement would have very serious consequences.
