🔶 Trump opposed Netanyahu's plan for a ground attack in Iran before the elections.
The Financial Times reported, citing three people with information, that Benjamin Netanyahu planned to launch new attacks against Iran in early October, but Donald Trump opposed renewing the war before the midterm elections on November 3 in the United States.
According to this report, Israel's captive army was prepared for a ground attack on the weekend of October 10, and nuclear facilities, government centers and civilian infrastructure, including energy facilities, were on the list of targets.
Financial Times sources said the planned attacks were to be more intense than the US-Israeli hostage operation in February. It is unclear whether America directly participated in these attacks or not.
Resumption of attacks in the coming weeks is still "not an unlikely scenario," one of the sources said. Another source said that "captives" had prepared a new list of targets, including infrastructure that had not been targeted before. This report was published two days after the publication of the news about Pete Guest's secret trip to the United States prisoners.
