🔶Tom Barak: American interventions in the Middle East are mistakes and failures.

The United States is moving away from the traditional model of "oil security" relations with the Middle East and no longer seeks to dominate the region.

Tom Barak, the US ambassador to Turkey and the country's special envoy to Syria, announced this at the World Security Forum in Doha on Tuesday, October 20. After years of trying to change the structure of governments in various countries in the Middle East, Washington does not intend to abandon this region, but wants to review its role in it.

Barak said: "America no longer wants to rule the Middle East." The goal is not to control the area, but to maintain a presence in it. We will not leave the area."

He added that countries in the region also gradually realized the limitations of America's role. According to him, the countries of the region are increasingly saying: "Okay, I can't trust America to solve all my problems."
