The Center for Human Rights in Iran demanded that Najama Amini's death sentence be overturned.

The Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI) reported on Monday the 27th of Mehr that Najama Amini was sentenced to death on the charges of "Sab Nabi". According to this organization, he was also sentenced to 12 years and six months in separate cases.

About a month before this report, an audio file attributed to Amini from Mashhad Prison was published, in which he talked about the death sentence of this 23-year-old student. Amini said in this case filed on September 27 (September 18) that his death sentence was handed down on September 25. He reiterated his innocence and emphasized that he wanted to have "an opportunity to defend himself."

Hours after the publication of the case, the Fars news agency wrote, citing an "intelligent source", that "a final sentence has not yet been given to this accused". This news agency, which is affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, called the purpose of publishing the file "stimulating students on the eve of the beginning of the academic school year" and wrote that the authenticity of the audio was not confirmed by "relevant institutions."
