Declaration of 14 political prisoners in support of Emir Hossein Mousavi A number of political prisoners pointed out the situation of Emir Hossein Mousavi by publishing statements and strongly protested the increase in arbitrary executions. In this statement it was said: "In recent years, the Islamic Republic, along with the increase in economic, political and social crises, and in anticipation of the increase in protests, has resorted to hasty and unprofessional adoption of laws that had no results other than harming the rights of citizens." In some cases, these laws left judges free to hand down severe punishments such as execution and confiscation of property based on false accusations. On the other hand, the judicial system, which did not adhere to the principles and procedures of due process in many cases in the past, ignored the minimum rights of the accused under the pretext of war conditions. A process that led to the issuing and execution of death sentences, extensive arrests and the confiscation of citizens' property.
