Varisha Moradi, a political prisoner, sentenced to death again According to the Iranian Human Rights Organization, Tehran's Revolutionary Court has once again sentenced Varisha Moradi, a Kurdish political prisoner, to death. His lawyers say the Supreme Court violated the previous ruling because of the flaws in the investigation, but the 15th Branch sentenced him to death again without correcting those flaws. Varisha Moradi is an honorary citizen of Poibonsi in Italy. According to Varisha Moradi's lawyers, Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, headed by Judge Salvati, once again sentenced Varisha Moradi to death for being a member of a "rebellious group" through being a member of "Pajak". This 41-year-old Kurdish political prisoner, who is currently in Evin Prison, was previously sentenced to death in the same branch on November 11, 1403. On 12/19/1404, the Supreme Court overturned this verdict due to "defects in the investigation and failure to observe legal formalities, mainly the failure to explain the charge that was the basis for issuing a death sentence at various stages of the proceedings" and the case was returned to the same branch for a retrial.
