Wall Street Journal: Houthis make ballistic missiles with Chinese parts The Houthis in Yemen are trying to make versions of Iran's Khyberashkan guided missile using Chinese parts. The Wall Street Journal cited the Conflict Armaments Research report as saying that the Tehran-backed Houthis are using Chinese components to build an advanced intermediate-range ballistic missile. According to this report, the model the Houthis are looking for is similar to Iran's Khyber Shahan missile, a precision-guided missile that has an important place in the Islamic Republic's missile arsenal. According to this report, Khyber Shahan may have a range of about 1,900 miles. If such a victory is achieved, the Houthis will be able to target Israel and Saudi Arabia from the territory of Yemen. This issue can affect the security balance in the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf and wider parts of the Middle East.
