Callas condemned Iran's "hostile actions outside the Middle East". Kaya Callas, the European Union's foreign policy chief, condemned the hostile actions attributed to Iran outside the Middle East. This position was taken after British officials announced that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was apparently involved in the threat to the British Royal Air Force base in Fairford. On Tuesday, October 13, Callas wrote in a message on the X social network: "Iran's campaign of intimidation and destabilization has spread far beyond the Middle East. I also join my colleagues in condemning Iran's hostile actions." He also attached to his announcement the joint statement of the foreign ministers of the European Union and of several European countries and Western allies, including the United States, Great Britain, Canada and Australia, published the previous day. The signatories of this statement strongly condemned the violent attacks attributed to Iran, including the planning of deadly actions, arson, sabotage, cyber attacks and other combined actions against them and their partners.
