🎥 Commemoration of Hafaz Day by the German Embassy

The German Embassy in Iran released a video on the occasion of Hafez Shirazi's memorial day, in which verses from the sonnets of the famous Iranian poet were read.

This embassy wrote in its announcement that Hafez's sonnets speak of love, wisdom, liberation and the beauty of life for centuries.

October 20 is named Hafez Shirazi National Commemoration Day in Iran's official calendar. Through the German translation of his Divan, Hafez's poems influenced the great German poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and inspired his famous work, The Western-Eastern Divan, published in 1819.
