Emir of Qatar: We managed to curb the consequences of instability in the region

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, on Tuesday, October 13 (October 21), in his speech at the Qatari Parliament in Doha, said that Qatar has been able to show its cohesion and resilience in recent months and following the regional instability.

Referring to the military tensions in the Middle East following the American war and the Israeli captives in Iran, he added that the extraordinary events in Qatar and the region once again showed the coherence of the government institutions in this country.

According to the emir of Qatar, policies implemented before the start of the war helped Doha contain the consequences of regional instability.

Sheikh Tamim also emphasized that the security of the member states of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and maintaining their sovereignty cannot be compromised. He called for increased efforts to secure shipping in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz and to protect energy facilities and civilian infrastructure.
