The Supreme Judge of Tehran demanded to deal with the "promotion of nudity". Nasser Atabati, the Chief Justice of Tehran Province, criticized the state of the hijab and headscarf in public places, calling for judicial action against the "promotion of nudity, promiscuity and the normalization of unhealthy relationships." He said at the session "Investigation and follow-up on the subject of hijab and modesty" in the judicial system in Tehran: "We will not pass over the abnormalities, obscenities and attempts to normalize and create certain behaviors." In these words, Atevi made it clear that the situation in some streets, parks and public places went beyond the "revealing of the hijab" and according to him it reached "nudity". This court official demanded to identify people who he said were "guided" in the pursuit of normalizing abnormal behavior. The Supreme Judge of Tehran also asked the responsible institutions to increase the supervision of public places and emphasized that the judicial system will monitor the handling of these behaviors together with the court and other institutions.
