A request for doctors to immediately treat the physical condition of Dr. Hamid Karahasanlu A group of Iranian doctors and medical teams wrote to the judicial system on Monday the 20th of Behar (October 12) and demanded immediate attention to the physical condition of Dr. Hamid Karahasanlu, a physician and radiologist with 26 years of medical experience. In this letter, which was obtained by Deutsche Welle Persian, it is said that Dr. Karhasanlu was arrested in November 1401 and during the arrest and torture, he suffered serious physical injuries, including broken ribs, damage to his lungs, eyes and ears. In the audio file released from prison, Dr. Karhasanlu explained how he was arrested and threatened to commit suicide in front of his wife and 13-year-old daughter. Referring to the published information about his alarming physical condition and the possibility of "needing urgent pulmonary evacuation", the signatories of the letter emphasized that the treatment of this condition requires immediate access to special medical facilities outside the prison.
