Tens of thousands of people marched in Brussels to implement climate measures
Brussels witnessed a massive demonstration on Sunday, October 11. Tens of thousands of people participated in this march, which was organized at the invitation of a hundred organizations and unions, and demanded immediate climate measures to deal with climate change.
According to the Belgian police, about 45 thousand people participated in this march. This demonstration route ended in the "European Quarter" in Brussels, where the most important institutions of the European Union are located.
This march was held about four weeks before the COP31 meeting in Antalya, Turkey. COP 31, which is being held to tackle climate change, is being hosted by Turkey and Australia. In terms of location, Turkey plays the role of host and Australia is responsible for leading this meeting. At the last session of the United Nations meeting to deal with climate change, held in Brazil last year, the participating delegations failed to reach an agreement on a joint plan to abandon fossil fuels.
