Kaia Callas, the EU's foreign policy official, warns of the risk of an oil disaster on European shores by Russia's shadow fleet.

Speaking to the newspapers reviewed by the "German Editorial Network", he called the ships belonging to the Russian shadow fleet environmental time bombs, which are often worn out, not maintained and not properly insured.

Kalas stated that Russia's shadow fleet was also used to fund Moscow's war against Kiev and was also the source of Russia's hybrid attacks that occurred in the past.

On the other hand, Robin Wagner, a foreign policy expert in the German Green Party, called on the government of this country to take quick steps. He stated in an interview with the national radio of Germany (Deutschland Funk), that the rusty and weathered ships of the Russian Navy can still travel easily in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. This German politician added that the European Union must take more measures and efforts for its security and protection. He added that he cannot be satisfied with words and must act, because only "action and deed will affect Russia".
