🔶 America's warning to airlines using Saudi airspace
The United States Aviation Organization (FAA) has issued official notices requesting all airlines to fully observe the necessary precautions and security considerations when planning air travel to Saudi Arabia or crossing the airspace of this country.
In this context, security risks caused by military clashes are mentioned as well as possible disruptions in the routing systems.
The warning issued by the Federal Aviation Administration in the US following the deadly attacks by the Houthis in Yemen last weekend at Riyadh International Airport is valid until December 10 this year. At least 13 people were killed and more than 300 people were injured in the ground attack on Saturday. A ground attack by the Houthis on Sunday also left one dead and 11 wounded.
Riyadh International Airport was said to remain closed until Monday, October 12 (October 20) at 17:00 local time.
