🔶 The "R4" group demanded an immediate stop to the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia
The four countries of the Middle East region, known as the "R4" group, demanded an immediate end to the attacks of the Houthis supported by the Islamic Republic on Saudi Arabia.
This group, which includes Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Egypt, issued a joint statement on Sunday, October 11, strongly condemning the Houthi militia attacks and calling on the Houthis to immediately stop these ground attacks.
In its statement, the "R4" group, referring to the deadly attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, saw these ground attacks as a clear violation of international laws and of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty, and emphasized its support for Riyadh's actions to deal with these attacks and threats and prevent their recurrence.
In this statement, the Houthis blamed Yemen for the attacks and stated that these ground attacks endanger regional and global peace and security. The joint position of Islamabad, Riyadh, Ankara and Cairo took place following the latest missile attacks by the Houthis in Yemen on the airport in Riyadh, which in addition to leaving a number of dead and wounded, raised fears of the spread of regional conflicts.
