The leaders of the "cockroach movement" were released in India
The founder of the so-called "cockroach movement" was released in India. His lawyer announced this news. The police arrested Abhijit Deepka and two other leaders of this movement on Saturday, October 10 (18 Mahar), before the start of widespread interceptions in New Delhi, the capital of India. According to their lawyer, the men have now been released on the condition that they "do not disturb public order for a year."
These three people were arrested inside the plane immediately after their plane landed in New Delhi. The "Turkey Movement" issued a call for massive interception that day in order to force the Chief Election Commission of India to resign.
In order to prevent a large gathering, the Indian authorities mobilized a large number of police forces to confront the demonstrators. According to the Indian news agency "Pitya", more than 20,000 security forces were deployed and blocked the center of New Delhi. In addition, dozens of subway stations were closed and more than 200 train lines were canceled.
