The UN Secretary General condemned the ground attack by the Houthis on the airport in Riyadh

Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, condemned the ground attack by the Yemeni Houthi group on the King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

On Sunday, October 11, Guterres announced in a statement: "I am deeply shocked by the deadly ground attack by the Houthis on the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and I strongly condemn it. According to reports, this ground attack killed 12 and injured hundreds of civilians.

Guterres stressed that a ground attack on civilians and civilian infrastructure violates international laws. He added: "These attacks must be stopped immediately."

Many Arab countries, while supporting Saudi Arabia, strongly condemned the Houthis' ground attack.
