According to the Harana news agency, the news organ of the group of human rights activists in Iran, Mustafa Mehrain, a sociologist and university professor, was detained.

According to this report, Mr. Mehrein was arrested to serve eight years in prison. This sociologist was taken to jail after his arrest.

Previously, the first branch of the execution of criminal judgment of the Office of the General and Revolutionary Prosecutor of the 33rd district of Tehran issued notices to Mustafa Maharayen on 15 Bahman 1404. In this notice, he was requested to appear in this judicial branch within three days of imprisonment to carry out a sentence.

Also, in December 1404, Mustafa Maharayin was sentenced to five years in prison by Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, presided over by Judge Abolkasem Salvati, for the charge of "gathering and participating with the intention of committing a crime against the security of the state", for the charge of two years in "Proganda" prison, and two years in prison. Imprisonment on the charge of "insulting the leadership", including the previous days of detention.
