🔶 America conducted new negotiations to end the war in Ukraine

America renewed its diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine; An effort that is being carried out in the shadow of new Russian attacks, the energy crisis in Ukraine and Donald Trump's controversial decision to agree with Moscow on diesel exports.

On Friday, October 10 (October 18), Steve Witkoff, the United States' special envoy, described the meeting as "constructive" after speaking with representatives of Ukraine and several European countries.

He wrote on the X social network, these negotiations discussed "short-term steps to prepare Ukraine for winter"; including strengthening energy infrastructures and grain exports.

According to Witkoff, security guarantees and "long-term arrangements for the security of Ukraine and Europe" were also discussed at this meeting.

According to American sources, the purpose of the meeting in Miami was to review Washington's "new ideas" for ending the Russia-Ukraine war. One of the axes of these plans is a project for "post-war economic prosperity".
