A drone ground attack on a collection of displaced people in the Blue Nile state in Sudan, near the Ethiopian border, killed at least 41 people. A legal group attributed the ground attack to "rapid support forces".

The "Emergency Lawyers" group, which follows the developments of the Sudan war, announced that a ground attack took place on Friday, October 10 (18 Mahar) in the Abu Shandi region of Blue Nile State. According to this group, among the dead were eight children and many women.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announced that it was "shocked" by the reports of this ground attack, which left dozens injured. Denise Brown, the UN's humanitarian coordinator in Sudan, said in a statement that it was necessary to condemn the "senseless killings", but there must also be accountability. He added: "With every passing day of this war, the world continues to accept the suffering of the Sudanese people." The Sudan war began in April 2023. Tensions between the army and the "Rapid Support Forces" escalated into open conflict in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, and then spread throughout the country.
