🔶 Brussels and Beijing agreement on reducing Chinese car exports to Europe

EU Trade Commissioner Marosh Sefcovic announced on Friday, October 9 (Oct 17) that China and the EU have reached an agreement that could cut China's hybrid car exports to the EU by more than half.

This news was announced after two days of negotiations in Beijing; The negotiations were held with the aim of reducing the EU's growing trade deficit with China.

Shepkovic said earlier that this week's negotiations were the result of three months of intensive efforts.

According to Sefcovic, this agreement should "adjust" China's exports of regular hybrids and plug-in hybrids to the EU.

He added that according to forecasts for a period of four years, this agreement provides a chance for a reduction of more than 50% in the export of Chinese cars to the European Union.
