The search engine Google has changed its logo for World Space Week in 2026. World Space Week is an international event honoring science and technology and their role in improving human living conditions.

In the design released by Google, an image recorded by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope is shown.

Using the ability to observe in the infrared range, James Webb can pass through the dense cosmic dust of the object "Herbig-Haro 46/47" (Herbig-Haro 46/47) and visualize it. Herbig-Harrow objects are rare structures formed by the rapid eruption of gas from newborn stars. This gas collides with nearby dust clouds and causes them to ignite and light up.
