🔶 Damage to planes at Riyadh airport after Houthi attacks
At least one plane was seriously damaged at Riyadh airport on Thursday, October 8 (October 16), at the same time as the Iran-backed Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia escalated and this group attempted to disrupt the country's airspace and oil facilities.
AFP reported, citing two informed sources, that after several explosions were heard in different parts of Riyadh, at least one plane at the city's airport was severely damaged.
One of these sources said that the damage to the plane was "catastrophic". The second source also said that three planes were targeted. The Yemeni Houthis announced earlier that they had carried out three separate attacks against the Riyadh airport.
In recent days, this group has increased its attacks against Saudi Arabia and, according to Reuters, has tried to disrupt Saudi airspace and oil facilities by firing missiles. According to a Reuters report, this week's attacks by the Houthis have left three dead so far.
