🔶 Trump: There will be no ground attack in Iran until the mid-term elections

Donald Trump, the president of the United States, said on Thursday, October 8, that he would not order the resumption of military strikes against Iran until after the mid-term elections of the United States on November 3.

In a message on his social network, Trump wrote that the US "will not launch a ground attack on Iran at any time before the mid-term elections that will be held on November 3 in the US.

This position was announced after he said during the Republican election campaign in recent days that the final phase of the war may take place in the days before or after the elections. At the same time, Trump previously left open the possibility of renewing a large-scale military operation against Iran.

Trump's new announcement comes as the US military has sent more military resources to the region. Officials said a third aircraft carrier, the USS Theodore Roosevelt, along with thousands of troops stationed on the carrier and accompanying ships, could enter the area by the end of October.
