🔶 Pazhkian and Putin discussed negotiations between Iran and America

Iranian President Masoud Pazhkian, in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, explained the state of the latest negotiations between Iran and the US, mediated by Pakistan, and said that Tehran is ready to reach a "balanced and fair" agreement.

In this phone call, Pazhkian and Putin discussed the developments in the region after the US military strikes and the Israeli captives against Iran, the current ceasefire situation and the negotiations between Iran and the US in Islamabad, Pakistan.

In this speech, the Iranian president appreciated the "sympathetic messages and declaration of solidarity of Putin, the Russian government and the people with Iran during the war". He also described Russia's positions supporting what he called "Iran's national sovereignty and territorial integrity" as "principled."

Pazheshkian particularly praised Russia's decision to oppose what he called "an anti-Iranian resolution in the UN Security Council." He saw this position of Moscow as a "responsible" and "valuable" step in preventing the escalation of tensions in the region.
