🔶 German support for Tesla's assisted driving technology
Tesla CEO Elon Musk welcomed Germany's support for European approval of the company's assisted driving system. Tesla calls the technology "fully autonomous driving." But critics say that title can be misleading.
On Wednesday, Musk wrote on Channel X in response to German Transport Minister Stefan Bilger's support for the approval of Tesla's technology in the European Union: "Danke schoen"; It means "thank you".
Bilger said on Tuesday that he supports quick approval of the technology at the EU level after discussing technical details and legal liability issues with Tesla. According to him, the goal is for Tesla drivers to be able to use the benefits of "assisted driving" throughout Europe without delay.
According to Reuters, Tesla has launched an extensive campaign to get its technology approved in Europe. The company claims its assisted driving system can increase safety and prevent accidents, but some Yemeni traffic researchers say the evidence provided by Tesla is insufficient to prove such claims.
