The Houthis fired a missile at Aden's airport; The conflicts increased

As announced by the Communications Office of the Aden Security Department, two missiles launched by the Iran-aligned Houthis were targeted this morning, Wednesday, October 15, at the Aden International Airport in southern Yemen. So far no casualties have been reported from this ground attack.

This ground attack took place after the re-escalation of the conflicts in Yemen; Clashes that intensified after a few weeks of the Houthis' advance along the coast of the Red Sea and a counter-attack by Yemeni government forces with the support of Saudi Arabia. Government forces with air support from the Saudi-led coalition have recaptured the areas around the strategic Bebelmandab strait.

Aden Airport is the main international air route to parts of Yemen not controlled by the Houthis.

Earlier, this coalition announced that it had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis at Hamis Meshit in southern Saudi Arabia. These missiles were fired from Sana'a, the capital controlled by the Houthis, and from the districts of Saada and Imran.
