🔶 The trial of three Iranians in London arrested the seventh suspect in the case of Raf Farford
At the same time as concerns increased in Britain about the activities attributed to the Islamic Republic, the trial of three Iranian men began in London. They are accused of collaborating with Iran's intelligence service and spying on journalists who oppose the government.
Mustafa Spond, Farhad Javad Timanesh and Spur Kalahli Khani Noori are on trial at Woolwich Court in London. According to the prosecution, between August 2024 and March 2025, they had activities that were consistent with the interests of Iran's cross-border intelligence service. All three denied the allegations.
According to the prosecutor, these people followed two journalists of Iran International and one of the founders of the "British Lawyers for POWs" group. The prosecution claims that the ultimate goal was to commit "serious violence" against one or more of them. From the messages presented in court it appears that the defendants knew about details such as the type and color of one of the journalists' car and the name of his dog.
