According to new research, Shiite Islamist networks did not disappear after the ban on a Salami center in Hamburg. They dispersed more and some turned to groups from the "anti-imperialist" left.

Two years after the ban on the Hamburg Salami Center, the non-governmental organization Damok (Damok) and the Berlin office of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) conducted a new study on Shiite Islamist networks close to the Islamic Republic of Germany. Researchers have concluded that these networks did not disappear, but became more dispersed, with some turning to groups on the anti-imperialist left.
